The Nairobi Urban Creators is a youth serving Non-Governmental Organization founded in 2015. It was founded by a group of young people in the lead up to the Habitat III conference that took place in Quito, Ecuador in October 2016. Its main objective is to provide young people in Kenya with a platform to articulate their priorities in sustainable urbanization and to explore opportunities for youth participation in monitoring, follow up and review of implementation of the New Urban Agenda.

In the lead up to the Habitat III conference, there was a genuine need to meaningfully involve young people in the making of the New Urban Agenda. This is especially so because the global community will continue using the document as a guide in implementing projects and programs for achievement of sustainable housing and urban development. Under the auspices of the United Nations Major Group for Children and Youth, UN MGCY, several consultations with the youth were made. Each consultation provided a space for young people to articulate their priorities in the New Urban Agenda.
